Our staff has competed and coached at the highest levels of wrestling and MMA. When you train at EAC, you learn from people who have done it.
Coach English has been wrestling since the early 1990s, learning from Hall of Fame coaches and competing at the national level. After a 23-8 professional MMA career, he opened Elite Athletic Club in October 2017 — creating NW Indiana's first full-time wrestling academy and a place for athletes to fully commit to their goals.
He holds USAW Copper and Bronze certifications and has coached at the US Olympic Training Center. In EAC's first year alone, his travel teams finished 4th at NuWay Nationals (Middle School), won the NuWay High School National Championship, and produced 12 All-Americans.
4-year letterman at Cal College. Head JV Coach at Lowell HS. Travel team coordinator for EAC.
3x HS State Champion. 2x Fargo All-American. D1 wrestler at University of Missouri. Amateur MMA 4-2 with 2 title belts.
Brown belt in BJJ. Amateur MMA record 8-3. HS semi-state qualifier. Owner of Keepsake Tattoo, Crown Point.
